This past week, The Walking Dead took a slide in the Nielsen Twitter Rankings as it dropped to the Number 5 slot. That is its lowest position this season and it was actually below American Horror Story –for the first time–which was at the Number 3 slot. Not that it really means anything, TWD topped all the other charts it was on for the week and is still the highest rated show currently on television with the exception of NFL some weeks. But it is interesting that the show’s Twitter presence dropped this past week, though apparently the AMAs on ABC–which it was airing against and which took Number 1 for the week–managed to give that show some competition. I expect it to jump right back up to the top in next week’s charts, though, seeing as the show’s Fall Finale airs this Sunday. And on CBS, Person of Interest returned to the broadcast network Top 25 based on total viewers, as I expected, after falling out the prior week. It made it to the Number 20 slot and I expect to see it there again next week when the numbers are tallied. Apparently that ratings drop from a few weeks ago was just a blip for the show. Note that Once Upon A Time did not appear in any of the charts, but that’s because it was preempted.
