The holidays are upon us now and it’s time for preemptions and reruns and as well as Fall finales as we head into the Winter hiatus. This week, ABC is preempting most of its regular lineup including all of its sci fi / fantasy shows, which impacts the Sunday and Tuesday schedule. The Walking Dead isn’t afraid of low viewership time of year, though, and continues as normal as it heads to its Fall finale on November 30th. On Monday, the FOX and CW genre entries will run as normal (and Gotham has its Fall finale) and CBS and The CW will do the same on Tuesday as well. Wednesday and Thursday sees all of the genre entries taking a break (except Syfy’s Australian import The Almighty Johnsons), but on Friday and Saturday the schedule is back to business as usual. As for holiday marathons, I didn’t notice to much on the schedule, but add in the comments if you have seen something I missed. On Thursday, AMC is running all three Jurassic Park movies back to back. On Friday BBC America is running a Star Trek: TNG marathon and Syfy is doing a Helix marathon (that show returns for its second season in January). And this Sunday, BBC America is running the full Battlestar: Galactica mini-series that kicked off the reboot of that show. And looking ahead, next Sunday AMC will air all of the Season 5 episodes of The Walking Dead so far leading up to the Fall finale for that show.
