There are currently only two of the fifteen broadcast network sci fi / fantasy shows in the Top 25 based on the ratings in the 18-49 demographic, and both of those are teetering close to the edge: Once Upon A Time down to Number 22 and Gotham down to Number 25. But eleven of those fifteen made in to the General Sentiment chart which tracks activity across the social networks, and that includes low rated entries like Agents of SHIELD and the shows from The CW. This of course reinforces the notion that sci fi shows typically do not have have viewership levels, but they have very engaged fanbases that support them. And this is yet another argument for why the Nielsens do not provide the best measure for a show’s audience, but no sense getting into all of that here . . .
And of course juggernaut The Walking Dead continues its dominance on the charts, topping every list it appears on below. And American Horror Story is not too far behind it.
