In the second week of its fifth season, The Walking Dead continued to dominate in the charts as expected. It topped the cable charts for total viewers and the General Sentiment charts tracking social network activity, and it slipped one notch in the Nielsen Twitter Ratings to the Number 2 slot. And even a repeat of the season premiere which aired right before the show’s second episode landed in the Cable Top 25 at the Number 16 slot. We can expect this one to hold at these levels throughout the rest of its fifth season and likely beyond. Nipping at TWD‘s heals is FX’s The American Horror Story which came in not far behind that series on all the same charts. Across the other charts, Once Upon A Time and Gotham remained in the broadcast network Top 25 based on the ratings, though that latter series is slipping closer to the edge of the list. And Person of Interest remained in the broadcast net Top 25 based on total viewers, though also towards the bottom of that list. Most of the same suspects showed up on the General Sentiment charts, though with their order shuffled. The Originals dropped out of the GS chart tracking the broadcast net shows for the week, it was at Number 23 last week. And Doctor Who dropped out of the GS cable list which is somewhat surprising because that one has been close to the top most weeks. Maybe I missed a memo and the show ran a repeat for the week.
