Prime Time Sci Fi TV: Fall Ramps Up With Premieres of Gotham, Agents of SHIELD, Person of Interest and More

New or notable science fiction and fantasy entries on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

This is it.  Syfy may have gotten things off to an early start with the premieres of Haven and Z Nation, but this week the Fall season is really taking off.  There are five premieres this week with more coming each week for the next month and more.  Probably the most anticipated debut of the week is FOX’s Gotham on Monday at 8 PM EST (with an encore run on Friday) and I’m betting quite a number of people will be tuning in for the first episode at least.  The other new series debut is ABC’s Forever which kicks off on Monday at 10 PM EST then airs a second new episode in its ongoing timeslot on Tuesday 10 PM EST.  Series premieres for returning shows this week include FOX’s Sleepy Hollow on Monday and ABC’s Agents of SHIELD on Tuesday (in its new 9 PM EST timeslot).  Also of note for the week is the season finale of the CBS Summer series Under the Dome.  Other than that, there are still four Summer shows in the process of winding down (The Strain, Witches of East End, The Lottery, and Legends) clearing way for the upcoming Fall debuts.  And for those interested, ABC is airing the season finales of Once Upon A Time and Resurrection on Sunday for people who want to catch up on those shows before they have their bows on Sunday, Septemeber 28th.  And speaking of catching up, it you still have a have of a season of one or more of the Summer shows on your DVR, you can pretty much hang up any chances of catching up on those because Fall is coming fast and furious now.
