New or notable science fiction and fantasy entries on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
There are two highlights in sci fi TV for the coming week: Extant has its season finale on CBS (and based on its ratings it could be a series finale). And Syfy will air the pilot for Bryan Fuller’s (Pushing Daisies, Hannibal) proposed series High Moon based on the book The Lotus Caves by John Christopher. The series did not get picked up, but at least we can get a look at what this Moon-based sci fi show would have been about. Other than that, the offerings are pretty light, so this is your last week to get caught up on those Summer shows on your DVR before the Fall season kicks into high gear over the next few weeks.
