New or notable science fiction and fantasy entries on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans.
Things are still pretty slow as far as Prime Time Sci Fi TV as we are between seasons, but HBO’s Game of Thrones (as well as FOX’s Cosmos) return on Sunday from their one week break. NBC’s Believe also returns ton Sunday to burn off the rest of its Season 1 episodes (it was cancelled at the end of the season). And The CW’s Beauty and the Beast returns on Mondays to air its remaining Season 2 episodes (believe it or not, that one has been renewed for a third season). For this week’s movie of note, TCM is airing the 1968 classic 2001: A Space Odyssey on Wednesday in Prime Time. New sci fi fans that have not caught that yet should consider tuning it (or getting it on there DVR schedule). It’s an all-time great and frequently finds itself at the top of best sci fi move lists.
