Description: Set within a dystopian future driven by a global fertility crisis, The Lottery reveals a world staring down the barrel of impending extinction as women have mysteriously stopped bearing children. After years of research, Dr. Alison Lennon (Shelton) and her team remarkably fertilize 100 embryos. However, her victory is short-lived when the Director of the U.S. Fertility Commission, Darius Hayes (Donovan), takes government control of the lab and informs the President (Vasquez) of the monumental scientific breakthrough. To determine which women will carry the prized embryos to term, Chief of Staff Vanessa Keller (Karkanis) convinces the President to hold a national lottery and a battle over the control of the 100 embryos begins. Michael Graziadei stars as Kyle, a recovering alcoholic and single father of one of the last children born in the country, while David Alpay stars as James, Alison’s colleague and lab assistant. Shelley Conn portrays Gabrielle, the First Lady of the United States. MyLifetime.com
Why Was It Cancelled? This show appeared on Lifetime’s Summer schedule with almost no promotion and not surprisingly it delivered little in the way of a ratings pulse or buzz across the social networks. It averaged around a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic based on the overnights and usually pulled considerably less than a million viewers. Now it will fade into television obscurity as another failed sci fi show.
Renew the librarians for next season. It is a fun show. Love it!
I think they need to juts have 1-2 wrap up episodes.
I watched Fringe for 4 seasons ( watched the advertisements I am supposed too) and did my bit, they then did a 1/2 length season wrap up5 th season which I think had a great ending. This is the right way.
They should have done the same with the 4400, even juts a couple to tie it up in some way. People have invested time to watch these programs and watched the advertisements, so do us the courtesy fo few warp up episodes.
Even they di a quick wrap up on Caprica which was better than nothing. Cerebral sci-fi like that needs to be marketed differently, i liked caprica and if marketed differently it could have gone for ages.I am tired of violent, just “shoot-em” scifi.
I went to see interstellar last weekend , not perfect but had some good idea’s its why i liked most of Sunshine and I really liked V for Vendetta.
Frankly I would rather watch series made for paid download or dvd , that this garbage of 1 season on stupid TV/cable system that wants me their times.
Put a few quality episodes on dvd or paid download and then ask the payers do they want to move forward and also dont be greedy.
The present system is not going to produce quality programs
