Why Was It Cancelled? The cancellation announcement for this show was not a huge surprise seeing as it slipped to historically low ratings for a Big Four broadcast network series in its second year. It beat the odds last year when everybody expected it to get cancelled, but apparently Disney would only allow it to dip into that magic well once. The show’s composer Alan Menken tweeted after the cancellation that it could live on as a Broadway production (he actually “Guaranteed” it), but that’s little consolation to those of us who were fans of the show. It was a fun and quirky little series that never received the attention and respect it earned, but it will probably gallop off to cult infamy.

Can’t believe Galavant is not returning! Loved this show and all my friends loved watching it too. Such a funny heart warming story with plenty of fun action and great songs. Sad face!
