Status: After multiple attempts, The CW finally got a Supernatural spin-off on the air but ended up cancelling it after one season because of new ownership. The ratings for the show were decent, and under the prior regime it certainly would have continued to a second season. But Nexstar Media Group has a new model for the network that focuses on lower-cost programming which appeals to an older demographic. The Winchesters did not fit into that, but Warner Bros. is shopping the show around and executive producer Jensen Ackles is whipping up support among fans. A Call to Action for this one on the social networks can certainly help as it tries to find a new home.
