Description: Next stop ahead The Twilight Zone. CBS All Access’ upcoming reimagining of the original series, which premiered in 1959, will debut in early 2019. Jordan Peele will serve as host and narrator of the new series, a role made famous by creator Rod Serling, who used socially conscious storytelling to explore the human condition and culture of the times. Why Was It Cancelled? When this reboot of the classic series first premiered on CBS All Access, it set viewership records for the streamer. But apparently diminishing returns set in after that and the decision was made to not carry it forward into the newly rebranded Paramount+ streaming service. The statement from the producers suggests that they told the stories they wanted to tell, but I’m guessing they would have come up with more if ViacomCBS had given this one the greenlight for a third season.
