Why Was It Cancelled? Syfy’s five-season wall holds as this series joins the network’s ever-growing list of cancellations. This was one Syfy’s top-rated shows throughout its five-year run, but its numbers slipped each year and Syfy decided not to bring it back for a sixth season. The creative team had a sense that the end was coming in the show’s fifth season, so they approached the final episode as a series finale to give the show some closure.
