Description: Season one of THE 100 saw the human race return, after a 97-year exile in space, to a wildly transformed Earth…only to discover that the human race had never truly left. Clarke found herself forced to lead a band of disposable juvenile delinquents as they faced death at every turn: from a world transformed by radiation, from the fierce Grounders who somehow managed to survive in it, and, perhaps worst of all, from themselves. Why Did It End? This show was never a strong ratings draw for The CW, but it did well in digital viewing and encore runs on Netflix and it has a dedicated fanbase that is active on the social nets. The network announced that the show’s seventh season in advance as its last giving the creative team the opportunity to wrap up its storylines. A prequel series was considered for the 2020-21 season, but that did not go forward.
