Description: The story unfolds during a dark time when the evil Galactic Empire is tightening its grip of power on the galaxy. Why Did It End? This show had a decent run for an animated entry of seventy five episodes. It drew good viewership when it started, but those numbers declined over its four year run. But then animated shows are driven as much by their merchandising as their ratings and generally do not stick around for four or more seasons unless they are considered a huge success. Disney at least gave Star Wars Rebels a final season to wrap up most of its storylines, and word is that yet another animated series is in the works that will run on that company’s upcoming streaming service.
