Why Was It Cancelled? This show started with decent ratings in its first season but saw those slip some in its second year then drop notably by its third year. The series is certainly expensive to produce, and apparently AMC decided that it was not worth it to keep the show going for a fourth season. This show has built up a notable following, especially internationally, and fans are currently lobbying for a fourth season, perhaps on another venue.

I really like into the badlands The action and the fight scenes are great and has a lot of imagination There are a lot of other shows on the networks should cancelled before into the badlands are. When you have a television show like this one there is a lot of fantasies about having love and fighting in the same show. So I hope you do consider about giving into the badlands another season
This is a great show I literally didn’t watch anything for a month because I was late hearing about the show and had to watch all 3 seasons.. They should definitely bring this show back it had me locked in.
I can’t believe a “real” show not a bull$&#+ fake reality show that is scripted anyway and badly by the way is going to keep going and this awesome original show is going to end. I expect nothing less in this land of sheep and freeloaders. Feed the dumb. Such a shame.
Well I’d have to agree this has been a great show wirth a great supporting cast behind it not to mention the story line is really good as well. Why cancel a good show like this and leave garbage on air like the walking dead. I mean how in the hell can you make that into a show when it’s the same exact thing every episode. AMC is a joke of a network for canceling s really good show and continue to air garbage like the walking dead.
I enjoyed season 1 and anxiously waiting for season 2 on netflix is 2017 and still nothing.
Such movies need not be cancelled. Take your time, thrill us the more.

You have to remember, Into the Badlands is a dystopian America set about 500 years into the future after a nuclear war wiped out most of society. The badlands are the only part of the currently known world of Into the Badlands that is the least bit civilized, and that is the point of the show. The banishment of the guns, and the use of martial arts warriors is the whole point!
I thought it sounded Stupid the second I saw the trailer for it. An apocalyptic wasteland with no guns??? Really??? How uninteresting, imo.
If you want to guns and slaughter just watch the news! Know that when you pass a high school look carefully at the grounds and realize this could soon be the very next apocalyptic wasteland.
Me and my soilders absolutely love this show. We have been wondering why hasn’t it been on. Kind of depressing cause this show is the sh@@. I’m not a sci-fi junky but this in one hell of an action pack no holds bard kind of show. The fight screens are out of this world. Yes it makes me think back to the old martial art movies I watch as a kid. So much power and drama twisted together Out of the Badlands a great creation by AMC and yes I’m a walking dead fan as well. Let’s do the right thing and keeps this rolling.

Into the Badlands has been renewed for a second season and will be back in early 2017.
I like the show too, and WOW what a cliff hanger of an ending. But it will be back in 2017 – that is a LONG time to wait after watching season 1!
I liked this show!!! Could it had been better? Yes! A few scenes here and there were a tiny bit corny but overall a good action show!!! I would rather watch this than some reality show or one of those ” let’s eat till we puke” show. I think Into the Badlands has potential… Keep those episodes rolling…

There has been no word of a cancellation of Into the Badlands yet, and everything we hear points to it coming back for a second season. AMC is taking their time with that announcement, though.
Housewives, and the other related tripe, are cheap to make, since it’s “reality based” entertainment, which means they record very minute of people’s s****y lives then creatively edit it for maximum drama… Badlands required many set, based on old time deep south plantations, and the fights and choreography required a ton of practice and so on..
I enjoyed it, but like some have said, when the plot seems to shift with every episode, with every character wanting to kill or backstab everyone else, it makes a lot of people watching it not want to bother… After the first episode, I know I had to go look up why they were calling each other cogs and so on, since no real backstory was given…
If you had to look things up to follow this show then you don’t watch shows correctly. The story (even with no backstory) was easy to follow….I found it very easy to follow. Almost too easy. So if you didn’t like it because you couldn’t follow it, that’s on you. The show is fine.

Me too, I really like the show. I would love to see another season. I was fine with the lead, I was fine with the villains I like every aspect.
networks that give us a shitty 6 episode season and then expect you to wait a year for another episode, this isnt the damn UK and piss on them for thinking they can treat us like that, take my viewing else where and you should do the same until they figure out no one wants or will except their crap business model !
We liked the show up to the 3rd episode. We sort of had to force ourselves into watching and eventually we wouldn’t watch it until the next day. It just sort of got boring. We were hyped with the videogame-like fight sequences the first few times. It almost felt like a Kill Bill vs Shinobi vs Streets Of Rage 3 vs The Matrix type of thing. When a fight happened it almost felt like a Boss fight…Little did we know that’s all it would be….We watch all the bullshlockin just to get to the fights… & the last few have been ehh. The plot is just becoming boring and even with all the twists and betrayal it still doesnt keep us from yawning. At one point during the season finale we felt like we were watching a cheap futuristic martial arts wannabe Game of Thrones. So with that said Poops N Peeps only give it a 5.8/10. We don’t really care if it comes back for a season 2. If it does and still manages to survive then we will be back to review it once more….but until then farewell Badlands…We didn’t visit very long!

Bathing in Daniel Wu’s charisma i like watching wallpaper dry. When your lead sucks, your show sucks,
The young colt with special powers is also pretty bad, a whiny wimp, what happened to angry young men? That’s strike two.
The rest of the cast is pretty good, but they can’t over come these major problems.
Based on Journey into the West, Badlands is an empty shell of that story, all plot, no real internal character conflict, but again that could just be because Daniel Wu is incapable of communicating one bit of existential angst in his flat performance.
He’s a metro-sexual version of Steve McQueen or Marlon Brandon if you prefer. He pouts and prances, trying to make his vapid eyes look steely and angry; spare us.
The fighting is great when its on, top notch martial arts choreography of the highest order, but its not enough to keep us interested in the empty performance of this talentless actor and the fairly formulaic plot. This show wll never be great. Interesting failure yes. Brave attempt absolutely, but good? I’m afraid not.
So if all you want is nasty, cranky guys and fights then turn off the t.v. and take yer nasty backside out to a biker bar. Review their performance and I’ll send flowers!
There’s been pages filled with character conflict between barons, clippers, the lost and the found as well as people reforming into new posses and coming into conflict with enemies now turned comrades. Sometime, the best conflicts occur between characters and themselves.
You compare Danny Wu to McQueen and Brando and don’t like him? Watch Charles Bronson in ‘The Mechanic’ and see how much emotion he shows! Perhaps you’d have liked it more if the late Sam Kinison hadn’t died and would be onboard to shriek his way through The Badlands?
I would think that with the landfill worth of trash cluttering up the television most nights, show that tries to bring something new and with spectacular production values would be welcomed and appreciated?

This show was unique, the fighting was great, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the whole cast! I’m very disappointed the show was cancelled , it had at least another season in my opinion…. tv is flooded with repetitive and predictable crap and it’s a shame that ended so soon…
