Description: Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Why Did It End? Like WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, this one was designed as an “event series”, but its story was not as close-ened and it does have greater potential to continue into an ongoing series. Director and executive producer Rhys Thomas has indicated that he would like to return to the show, but there are currently no plans in place for it to continue and Disney+ has designated it as a mini-series for the Emmys. A spin-off featuring Maya Lopez/Echo is in the works, and a second season of Hawkeye could still happen at some point depending on how it fits into the ongoing development plans of the MCU. But for now I am counting it as ended.
