Comments:  The mini-series only averaged a 0.36 rating based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic across its three night run. It was not designed to kick-off an ongoing series like the Battlestar: Galactica and Ascension minis (the former was successful, the latter was not), but the low ratings might discourage Syfy from doing similar productions based on classic sci fi books. And that’s a shame because Childhood’s End delivered a first-rate production that should become a sci fi TV classic.
