We have been seeing quite a number of cancellations the past few years as Peak TV appears to be coming to an end and Peak Caution is taking hold of the linear networks and streaming services (more on that at this link). I ran a poll a couple of months back giving people the chance to vote for shows from the 2023-24 season (as well as a few stragglers from prior years) that had been cancelled or that had not received a renewal yet. Now it is time for the annual cancelled “all-star” poll which includes cancelled shows from the past few seasons that fans have tried to save. This includes the top-voted posts from our prior poll plus other shows that have received notable votes in the past.
Note that “winning” in this poll is not about which show gets the most votes. Last Summer, Wynonna Earp got over 14K votes while Lockwood & Co got just below that and both were big winners. That was a huge outpouring of support for both shows, and that was shared with their networks and other venues that may consider picking them up. Perhaps this time around we will have four or five shows that draw that many votes, and all will count as winners because these numbers will be on full display and will prove that many people want them back.
This list includes shows that have been cancelled in the last three to four years (or in the case of The Orville, a show that is in limbo), and I will also consider adding other shows that were cancelled relatively recently if they get enough nominations in the comments. If there are at least five separate nominations in comments or at our Twitter Site, they will get added. Note that I have added Warrior Nun to the list even though it appeared to be saved last year, and that is because the “revival” did not turn out to be what fans expected and I’m not sure it is still moving forward (more on that at this link).
In recent years we have seen shows saved like Manifest, The Expanse, Lucifer, and Timeless (even if just briefly) by support from fans. So maybe one or more of the entries on this list will be the next to continue on to a new season after getting cancelled. #motherlandfortsalem Motherland Fort Salem is one of those shows most found either too late or due to the pandemic flipping through channels and stumbled unto it by pure accident.
With the right promotional back-up and more exposure this show would have succeeded and had 7 seasons.
With the pandemic one can understand the financial strain but when a train of good original shows start being cancelled it becomes worrisome
Other not so good shows that go further than 10 seasons I have to ask …..how? and why are original good shows being canceled after 2-3 seasons. Hopeful most of the shows listed here can make a return to the screen!

What about Motherland Fort Salem? The representation on that show, through queer characters & non binary ones that don’t get a second glance for these differences alone which is always a relief when most of us have grown up watching queer characters on the receiving end of abuse. There are strong female leads ranging in diversity through black, First Nation and white all witches alike, and those are just the American female characters! However, using a collective group of bad guys that hate them for their differences, enlisting torture, murder and propaganda, make this era appropriate and reflect the current global political climate.
It was such a well rounded, special show that meant a lot to so many people, bringing a unique spin on witch lore.
It held so much potential and was so unique and gaining at least another season would be well deserved.
And why is Motherland Fort Salem not included in this selection of cancelled shows?
The fandom was left with a botched up s3.. we could have had 7 or 8 seasons from stories that Eliot Laurence wrote..
We deserved better and so did the cast..

This show only had 3 seasons (the last rushed to tell the story). Eliot Laurence had 7-8 seasons worth of material we were robbed of.
Happy! deserves MORE. It was a fantastic live-action/animated comedy on Syfy that was cancelled way too soon (caused by Syfy’s lack of promotion). Has a terrific story, a truly unique plot, and drama and emotion that wraps up the insanity and depravity in a pretty bow.
And even after 5 years, fans are STILL fighting and we’re not resting until this crazy series is saved with the 3rd season it deserves. Anyone else agree?

Don’t read the comics! They are sexist trash by sleazy Ben Dunn and are nothing like the Netflix series carefully created by Simon Barry & team.
‘Someone’ promised a trilogy but it was misleading the fandom to support movies that would not be a what fans were/are fighting for. No OG storylines, no OG cast and crew and the father of the series Simin Barry was not asked to be involved either. So, basically a dead project fans don’t care about and no further info after the backlash it received.
Fandom is still fighting for another streamer to pick it up for more seasons. Hopefully that will happen at some point and these kind of polls might help with someone recignizing the potential.

Star Trek Prodigy, Star Trek The Lower Decks, and Resident Alien deserve to be kept going. We need to know what events happened between Prodigy and Picard. Or do new more live action Star Trek series again? Resident Alien hasn’t been renewed and I am running out of shows to watch. I’m sick of Paramount canceling all my shows I watch. Keep Star Trek, Stargate and Resident alien going, Netflix.

We did not get movies. Not with original cast and story. We want OUR show back,one that was canceled by Netflix. With original cast. That is only Warrior Nun we want. So WN has every right to be in this poll.

If you don’t know anything that has happened with the series then don’t bother commenting about the show and making rude comments to the fans all it does is instead make you look like a “12 year old kiddie.”so to educate you since you think you know everything let’s start by the fact that, yes the show IS getting a trilogy of movies, but it will be without the same cast and based on a very different plot that has nothing to do with the actual show that the fans are fighting for. Netflix owns all rights to the show and the creator only owns the comic rights which means anything from the show that is not in the comic cannot be used or the creator will be sued and the comic is entirely different from the show, so the show has not been saved and the fans of the show were led to believe it was saved which is why the show is on the list because when news came out that the movies will be nothing like the show everyone was upset and saw that it wrong to make fans believe you actually saved something when you didn’t save anything. That’s why we are still fighting, that’s why the show will still be listed on canceled show polls, and that’s why we’re still here and fighting. Hope that helps.

I am recommended shows that will not be continued. But I won’t watch something that will only disappoint me due to it being cut off and in a very unsatisfying way at that, no matter how good it is. Networks/platforms need to understand that. If you are not going to finish producing a show (especially unreasonably, or at least for reasons we, outsiders of the decision-making process in networks/platforms, cannot comprehend), please don’t even start it. This hurts the viewings even more (and it feels like snatches, just dabbling in here and there, perhaps to unknowingly hook us temporarily only to disappoint us permanently later on or for you to look like you have a broad genre network/platform -tick some boxes- when you actually don’t).
I also want to express the opinion that Lockwood & Co. is so much tighter, deeper and wholesome than Wednesday (which will get at least two seasons).
Lastly, I want to ask, what about Westworld? Or did it get cancelled before 2023-2024? I imagine so, but if not I would like to nominate it!

Yes! How Willow was treated felt like setting it up to fail and that sucks because it’s got so much potential and it’s a fun fantasy show. Made much harder by it’s removal from streaming. But we still are getting the word out to #SaveWillow and get more seasons.
A new Wynonna Earp 90 minute movie titled ‘Wynonna Earp: Vengeance’ has finished filming and will debut on Tubi (no date yet.) Hopefully that will wrap up the story in a more satisfying manner.

That’s not going to happen. The creator of Winx Club already said that Winx is going to have a live action movie (nothing related to Fate The Winx Saga).
In the event that Fate The Winx Saga returns to live action, I think it will be as a reboot, and not as a continuation. That’s why I say it.
What will culminate the series are the graphic novels. Rainbow has decided that Fate will continue in graphic novels, and they are the ones who decide on the series. That “something” you say is graphic novels.
I forgot to say that Rainbow was also the producer of Fate The Winx Saga (being the creators of Winx Club) and that they actively participated in the graphic novel, so the series is saved.

People, PLEASE give Scavenger’s Reign a watch on Netflix or Max. This animated series made me feel emotions that were the most pure of all human feels. The animation is so amazing and the show is weird and awesome and beautiful. I will be so sad to not get a second season. Please watch it and vote for it. I’m not an anime guy and this is not anime, per se but animated bliss. True art. I beg you to see it for yourself.

Why only 300 some people only voted for quantum leap. I’m a fan of the show from the first run . Love how the people in this reincarnation are tied to the original series. Al’s wife came back and Ernie Hudson was in first series as a guest in one of the episodes…love how they tied both series together…now will we ever see how everything ends? Will they be able to bring Ben and Addison and The og leaper himself, Sam Beckett? Only way to find out is to vote!!! If NBC never moved the days and time slots , I feel this would have never been cancelled.
I agree quantum leap is such a good show. My favorite to be exact. Since it’s been canceled I’m not interested in anything else. The show can be available exclusively on peacock instead of network television. This show has connected generations especially since the original show ran for 5 seasons. I would love to see quantum be brought back. It’s the one show with a poster message that people need to see.
You are correct in the connections to the original were excellent and it would be great to have the story resolved for Ben, Addison and Sam however ratings fell each time they pushed the woke agenda and even people I know who loved the original and lets not forget sam occasionally ended in a dress but it fitted the story telling and the moral the new one catered for a small percentage of people and only a percentage of those like Sci-Fi. It also had a difficult to believe main character. Anyone who has worked with geniuses know they generally do not spend their morning putting on makeup and deciding fashion and accessories. Many will wear the same clothes (of which they have multiple copies) so they don’t have to decide what to wear. They will only dress up when required. This was the first comment most people I know made when they saw the show.
Please ya’ll come on and help save Quatuam Leap and The Winchesters. They are 2 great shows that need to continue. We need to fine out what’s going to happen everybody. They can’t leave us just hanging like that!!!
Listen, I love Shadow and Bone, and I would die for Kaz Brekker – but Scavengers Reign was just jam packed with the weirdest stuff imaginable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything else like it. I mean, I’ve seen the occasional element or two, but man that show was weird. And original.
And the ending with Levi…. They managed to make something so weird but also hopeful. It was wild.
Maybe you saw, but it says you can vote for up to five shows. So, you can support Kaz Brekker and Scavengers Reign. 🙂 It’s not really dividing the vote either, as multiple shows can do well and be noticed by the networks. A show winning top position here doesn’t mean it and only it will be picked up, or for sure that it will. But strong support is shown to the people in charge.

Fully agree! Personally I thought this was one of the most innovative and detailed scifi shows of the past 10 years. Discovery/ Warner Brothers should be embarrassed or cancelling this incredible work of art. Many of their ardent scifi loving customers dropped MAX when they did this last year.
